Achievements of The College during 2006-2007
The College has commenced M.Sc. Courses in Chemistry,Zoology and Botany in August 2006.

The college has acquired UGC Recognition and has been brought under UGC 2f &12B.

The result of T.Y.B.A was 97%, B.Sc. was 84% and M.A was 100% at the university examination held in Apr/May 2006-07.Other streams have above 70% results.

100 students have passed degree examinations with First class in Mar/Apr 2007 examinations aid three students have passed M.A. examination with First Class.

Dr. Nisar Shaikh has registered 02 students under him for Ph.D. in Zoology.

Dr.Nazneen Rangoonwala,Dr. isar Shaikh and Dr. Naheed Azam are the recognized guides to guide M.Phil students of Alagappa University,Karaikudi.

Two faculty members completed referesher courses in 2006-07.

Ms.Pallavi Landge of T.Y.B.Sc (I.T) was nominated as a member to the University students’ Council of our esteemed university for tthen bacademic year 2006-07.This is the 4th consecutive year that our students is representing University students’ Council.

Will equipped Fitness Centre for women was established w.e.f. 1st July 2006.

15 students have secured 10 grace marks , by participating and winning the intercollegiate Sport event for the first time in the college.

Our students have brought 09 Intercollegiate Prizes in 2006-07 to the college by participating in various competitions held by sister colleges of University of Mumbai. Mrs.Rabiya Shaikh (non –teaching staff ) has bagged Ist prize in Intercollegiate Mehendi Competition.

The College NSS Unit bagged the “BEST NSS UNIT AWARD” both from the University of Mumbai and the state Government.Principal received the prize from the Vice-Chancellor.

Our NSS Programme Officer Prof.Anis Choudhary worked as the taluka coordinator of the NSS unit of University of Mumbai.He has bagged the “The Best Programme Officer” awards from University of Mumbai and also from the Government of Maharashtra.

Our NSS student leader Ms.Nehreen Kuwari has bagged the Distric Level Best NSS Leader Award.

Our Extension Education teachers Prof. Bandana Vishwakarma and Prof.Jayashree Thakre have been appointed as the Field Co-ordinators by the Dept. of Adult and Continuing Education Extension of University of Mumbai.Our college was selected to conduct “UDAAN-2007” Festival of University of Mumbai, in our campus for the college of Thane District.

Our Principal Mrs.Kamala Balasubramanian of the Senate of University of Mumbai, and also member of Women Development Cell of the University of Mumbai.She worked as member of the organizing committee of National Seminar held by the University of Mumbai on “Gender Equality and Indian Republic” in Nov 2006.
